Terms of Service — Shakti & Me

Welcome to Shakti & Me. By accessing our website and/or purchasing one of our products, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should not use the site.
“We”, “our”, and “Shakti & Me” refer to the owner of this online store.
1. Who We Are
Shakti & Me is a registered brand in Portugal, owned by Marta Oliveira, self-employed professional.

The store operates on the Shopify platform.
2. Access and Account
To make a purchase, you may need to provide contact, shipping, and billing information. You must ensure that all details are accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities carried out under your credentials.
3. Products
We make every effort to provide accurate descriptions and images. As our products are handmade and natural, slight variations in color, scent, or texture may occur.
The products are intended for external use on animals only (dogs and, when specified, cats). They are not intended to diagnose, prevent, or treat diseases. Always follow the usage instructions.
We reserve the right to change descriptions, prices, or discontinue products at any time.
4. Orders
By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase. The order is only accepted after payment confirmation and receipt of a confirmation email. We may refuse, modify, or cancel orders (with a refund, when applicable).
Purchases and returns are governed by our Return Policy (available via the footer link).
5. Prices and Payments
Prices shown include VAT at the legal rate unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Available payment methods (subject to change): Shopify Payments (Visa/Mastercard/Amex cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Multibanco via reference), and when available, MB WAY and/or PayPal. Transactions are processed in a secure environment.
You agree to keep your billing and payment details up to date so we can complete transactions and contact you if necessary.
6. Shipping
After payment confirmation, orders are prepared and shipped within 1–5 business days (unless otherwise indicated). Delivery times provided by carriers are estimates. We are not responsible for delays beyond our control (e.g., carrier issues, strikes, or weather conditions). The risk transfers to you once the order is handed over to the carrier.
7. Returns and Refunds
We accept returns of unopened products in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt (DL 24/2014).
For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened/used products (sprays, roll-ons, balms), except in cases of manufacturing defects.

8. Intellectual Property
All texts, images, logos, and content from Shakti & Me are protected by copyright and may not be used without written authorization. The Shopify name and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
9. Third-Party Tools and Links
We may provide access to third-party tools or links “as is”. Their use is at your own risk. Please review the policies of those third parties before making any transactions outside our site.
10. Privacy
We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (linked in the footer) and Shopify’s privacy policy. By using the site, you agree to these policies.
11. Feedback and Reviews
If you send us suggestions, reviews, or content (“Feedback”), you grant us permission to use it to operate, improve, and promote our services. You declare that you hold the necessary rights over the submitted content and that it complies with applicable law.
12. Errors and Inaccuracies
Occasionally, typographical errors or omissions may occur (e.g., price, availability). We reserve the right to correct and/or cancel orders containing incorrect information (with a refund, when applicable).
13. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the site for unlawful purposes; infringe third-party rights; distribute malware, spam, or abusive content; attempt unauthorized access; collect user data; or bypass security measures. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Services and products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of fitness for any purpose beyond those described. Use is at your own risk, following the provided instructions.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shakti & Me shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the website or products, including data loss, loss of profits, or business opportunities.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Shakti & Me against any third-party claims arising from your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
17. Assignment
You may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent. We may assign them to third parties.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. In case of dispute, the competent court shall be that of the district where Shakti & Me is based (unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise).

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the relevant date. Continued use of the website after any changes means you accept the revised Terms.
